: @deepa similar yes, but minimalism also uses elements such as colours sparingly. the 'web2'look flies in the face of this and utilizes lots of strength in colour to emphasize their messages.
: i think there is also some misleading judgements. 'web 2.0' styles often involve using content sparingly but wisely. In a strictly minimalist design you would be using little to draw attention to itself in a subtle way.. which is not 2.0
