Well, it took several days, but I finally got the new Facebook homepage. With this redesign, Facebook realized the battle is for conversation. Conversation makes a site more of a destination for people, and the new redesign is completely targeted towards this. As much as sites like Twitter and FriendFeed have been battling (Read More)
: I preferred the previous style, but I'm much more of a Twitter/Friendfeed user than Facebook in any case, so for me personally, it's not a big issue, as I don't spend long in there

DePauw Dairy in Port Byron isn’t new to the world of organic farming. It’s more like a pioneer in raising Dutch Belted cows — which look like Oreos — the old fashioned way.
Bob DePauw’s family has been farming and raising cattle organically since the early 1950s. (Read More)

Last night I spoke to the Social Media Club gathering in Chicago where I pontificated a bit on the future of social media. Last night I happened across a stealth startup that’s growing quickly entitled Mr. Tweet. The site bills itself as your “personal assistant for Twitter,” but it functions as a very interesting version of Facebook’s friend finder. The site asks you for your Twitter username, and then processes your connections and the conten (Read More)

President elect Obama will bring the President's weekly "fireside chat" into the 21st century by offering it not just on the radio, but in video on YouTube as well. It's as if the new President really cares whether the next generation has a connection to his regular work. That's where the people are - on YouTube, on MySpa (Read More)
: @cabradio I wasn't saying this could replace the news for political news. As far as I am concerned both is good. I like the idea of hearing it directly from the guys mouth. if its from him its more likely to be true then news. I don't know about you but I look at a bunch of news sources and don't take everything at face value before i consider it good news.
: @RyanCorcoran What you failed to recognize is that the President has been doing WEEKLY radio addresses for decades now. Reagan started doing them weekly. GW Bush made them available via RSS off the www.whitehouse.gov/news/radio website. Direct Info from the President HAS BEEN available. You just think it's Obama's idea. Video is Radio with pictures. He isn't doing ANYTHING new or innovative with this "video channel". It is just a progression with the technology that is now READILY available/accessible by most Americans (i.e. even those that don't have internet probably know someone who does, or can access via the Library for free).
