I realized three things tonight. For one, if you are a McCain/Palin/Bush voter, you and I do not have a difference of opinion. We have a difference in brain power. Two, she really is as ignorant as I feared. And, three, she really is kinda hot. Basically, I want to have sex with her on my Barack Obama sheets while my wife reads aloud from the Constitution. (My wife is cool with this if I promise to "first wipe off Palin's tranny makeup." I married well.)
Now, I want to be clear and speak directly to those of you who LOVED that Palin interview. You're an idiot. I mean that. This is not one of those cases where we're going to agree to disagree. This isn't one of those situations where we debate it passionately and then walk away thinking that the other guy is wrong but argued well. I'm not going to think of you as a thoughtful but misguided person with different ideas who still really cares about the country and the world. No, sorry, not this time. This time, if you watched those interview excerpts and weren't scared ou
I didn't "love" the interview. It was ok. She seemed coached, nervous and out of her element. Charlie Gibson asked some very good questions. Questions I would like to see Obama answer. Gibson was condescending and it was obvious he doesn't like her AT ALL.
My advice to the McCain camp is to quit coaching her so much. What we like about her is that she is a real person.
I thought about responding to this article, but there is nothing worthy of debate. Another example of the fringe left doing what they claim the right does.
Jimmy Carter (a really high IQ, fully nuanced, liberal...mind you) was a NUCULAR scientist...served on a NUCULAR submarine, and he still says NUCULAR. Palin is a warrior and a leader. Get used to seeing her and get used to hearing that twangy voice. Feel free to continue to share your sexual fantasies about her.
great links Jason. The UPI story accurately describes the way I looked at the interview. We'll see on the impacts either way--my guess is that Palin supporters will rally around her and well we know how the left feels about her. Regardless, McCain's choice was one of the most politically cunning moves ever. It is hard to remember a time when the opponents have been caught so flat footed and have taken so long to figure out how to effectively counter. The clock is still ticking.
She will be your Vice President, I know it's tough to get used to but we'll have a woman VP. As for the interview, she was decent but similar to Barack she works a crowd the best
The way I see it, there are only 3 things here worth commenting on, all of which point out the authors glaring hypocrisy, and lack of ability to understand.
1) "What you are NOT is responsible, informed, curious, thoughtful, mature, educated, empathetic, or remotely serious. I mean it."
This coming from someone who is clearly as far as you can be from responsible, informed, mature, educated, empathetic, or remotely serious, as evidenced by his lack of anything substantive in his entire post.
2) "Stop voting for people you want to have a beer with. Stop voting for folksy. Stop voting for people who remind you of your neighbor. Stop voting for the ideologically intransigent, the staggeringly ignorant, and the blazingly incompetent."
Is it just me, or did the author just describe Obama to a T?!
3) "Vote for someone smarter than you. Vote for someone who inspires you."
The author clearly has missed the fact that Palin has done exactly these things, and breathed life into this election, by showing her intelligence and by INSPIRING many of us... something Mr Obama has yet to do.
