@louisgray: I get google reader and mobile me, but is friendfeed really a must have or a nice to have? socialmedian is in same category. I'd LOVE for socialmedian to be a must have but right now it's prob more a nice to have. Twitter has become more of a must have ... hmmm

In the "miss and suffer" category, I'd have to put FriendFeed there today. It's a good and growing community. I expect SocialMedian to get there, but it's early yet. If Twitter went down, I'd be absolutely fine. And I didn't want to say MobileMe, but it does have my e-mail, so what can you do?

I was without blackberry enterprise service the past 24 hours as i had to swap out my device. Was painful. 4000+ contacts in the cloud and not a 1 on my device. Same for calendar and email. But the magic today of OTA (over the air) activation in 15 minutes .... fantastic. Life is back and good again.

I've got to add skype to this list. 3 hours / day of free conference calls from u.s. to india is priceless

i like gizmo than skype. reasons:
1) skype doesn't allow me to call US toll free numbers (unable to do so for last 10 months).
2) call recording feature is available in gizmo
3) even after buying skype out, support received is pathetic.
4) gizmo allows SIP. people can call from landline and join conference (multiple computer connections and multiple PSTN connections)

Aside from email, it's probably My Yahoo! and Twitter for me. Digg I would miss but not really suffer from not having it around.

skype, mobile services on my MDA and also SMS service (not web based but really "social" as not everyone in my list has a phone with email/ message capabilities). SMS is the cheapest way to stay in touch when abroad.

Google Reader, Gmail and Google Apps. (I have given too much control to Google :)

Definitely FriendFeed, absolutely.

Is it quaint to say Google search itself? It is my reference library now, without it my work would be much slower.

Twitter before they stopped the SMS integration in Europe (C'mon Twitter, get those deals done!), Google Search, Google Alerts, Skype as it keeps me feeling connected to business colleagues, and now Podcasting, BlogTalkRadio, YouTube and Viddler for enabling me to be sharing wealth creation knowledge and tips with subscribers.

Gmail, Google Docs, Twitter, Delicious, FriendFeed, and now Socialmedian are the most important to me at the moment. Just signed up with Identi.ca, though.
