Summary

If you want to make a cool table with bottle caps—or anything small and interesting—encased forever under a layer of resin, check out this table-building tutorial.

Over at Instructables, user americangypsy has built a pretty sweet table with a clear and hard surface made of resin. The point of interest is the huge beer bottle cap collection he affixed to the surface of the table before pouring the resin. Don't limit yourself to bottle caps however. We've seen the same process done with shells, stone chips, and other things you wouldn't traditionally make the surface of a table or bar out of, it but thanks to the surface-leveling power of the resin, almost anything semi-flat works.

Check out the full tutorial at the link below, including tips on how to work with tables that don't have a natural edge or lip to contain the resin mixture. Have a cool DIY project of your own? Let's hear about it in the comments, preferably with some pictures!
