The last couple of days have been nothing short of amazing. The experiences we've had and the views we've seen... Well, let's just say it wasn't just the cool Northern evening giving us goosebumps. We checked out of Mandala House around 9am after breakfast and were picked up by our funny and informative tour guide, Boon. We stopped off to pick up several other trekkers en route: a couple from Belgium, a couple of couples from Holland, and a trio from France - so we covered most of Europe in our little trekker truck! You can imagine the German jokes. It took us a few hours to reach Mae Raem, what with stopping off to walk around a little market (from which we stocked up on water and toilet paper!) and then for lunch. Once we arrived we were launched straight into a three hour trek through the jungle, with our destination, Karen Village, waiting for us.
