One of two Britons to have bought winning ticket for draw has come forward, operator Camelot says
A lottery ticketholder has claimed a share of the record-breaking £90m EuroMillions jackpot prize, the UK lottery operator, Camelot, said today.
The person stands to win more than £45.5m if the claim is validated, although the earliest that could happen would be tomorrow. Camelot said no further information about the ticket or the potential winner would be released until the prize had been paid out.
The search for a second winning ticket-holder is continuing, and Camelot said it was "extraordinary" for two lottery players from the same country to share such a big prize.
There are already 2,300 lottery millionaires in Britian following the launch of the National Lottery 15 years ago.
Today, previous winners of big lottery prizes offered congratulations and advice for the new additions to the millionaires' club.
