By now you know the lineup for this year’s Fun Fest, and you’re already planning your schedule. Once again, the festivities kick off on Friday night at the Mohawk and Club Deville, where Austinist hosts our annual Local Music Is Sexy party and the After the Jump Blogger’s Panel along with the Austin Convention & Visitors Bureau, Transmission Entertainment and WOXY.com.

Starting at 6:30 p.m. on Friday evening, Maura Johnston (Idolator), Justin Gage (Aquarium Drunkard), Peter Gaston (SPIN), David Prince (Billboard, Daily Swarm), Joe Gross (Austin American-Statesman) and Paige Maguire (Austinist, WOXY) will be discussing the ever-thinning line between new media and the mainstream. There will be a question period and cocktails after the panel.

Local Music Is Sexy begins promptly at 8 p.m., and this year’s lineup is our best yet.
