Importance of praise


Growing up how many times have you heard someone say if you cannot say something nice do not say anything at all? These are powerful words and advice and yet how often do we practice this simple advice?


Society tells us we should openly express ourselves in all ways, yet the truth of the matter is when you degrade someone it does more harm to yourself than it does them. When you edify someone or something it lends them your credibility and shows you are a person whose character and internal value is such that you have credibility so much so that you can share yourself with others which in turn adds value to both of you.


Edification is another form of appreciation. Appreciation is more than simply being thankful for what someone else is doing or has done it also means to increase in value.
