Effective tomorrow, the New York Times won’t be the only national paper going local in the San Francisco Bay Area. That’s when the Wall Street Journal launched its anticipated Bay Area edition with weekly local coverage in the Thursday A-section. The Journal claims an audience of more than 92,000 ijn the Bay Area. The local effort includes microsite WSJ.com/SF, with coverage from the Bay Area augmented by articles and video from across Dow Jones (NYSE: NWS), and a weekly e-mail newsletter. Areas of coverage include local business news, economics, tech, culture, sports, politics, education.
