Before people learned about new audio formats and new audio conversion software, the CD was the main tool or medium if a person wanted to listen to music, audio books, and educational lessons This obviously beats reading page after page of books, notes, and instructional materials and keeps the person active and attentive since he or she is exposed to another person's voice But listening to music or audio lessons could only be done if you had a stereo or a CD player of your own with accompanying headsets and earphones, so people were still limited at some level in terms of listening to audio But as technology became more advanced and sophisticated, different aspects of how media is being used changed and developed as well This includes the use of audio files and it is seen through people learning to convert audio
