Online mega merchant eBay is going the retail route du jour and opening a brick-and-mortar pop-up shop in New York City just in time for the holidays.
From Nov. 20 to Nov. 29 (with the exception of Thanksgiving), the non-virtual doors of eBay's first ever holiday store -- at 3 West 57th Street -- will swing open, as reported by WWD.
The 5,500 square-foot temporary store will carry a mix of fashion and beauty products including Norma Kamali's exclusive collaboration with the online retailer, Anthropologie dresses, M.A.C. and Smashbox cosmetics and Michael Kors handbags, according to the paper.
For the less fashion-inclined, there will also be electronics and home and garden products.
Making spending as easy as possible, the retailer will be offering handheld tablets and special Internet kiosks so shoppers can buy from the site. Plus purchases can be made from eBay's iPhone application, reports to the sourc
