Summary

The Embargo 2010 Panel was held today at San Francisco, CA and saw old and new media types gather together to discuss Micheal Arrington’s favourite topic “Embargoes on News Stories”.


The panel was itself was moderated by Sam Whitmore from MediaSurvey, and hosted by Waggener Edstrom.


A post today from SiliconValleyWatcher.com’s Tom Foremski who attended the Embargo 2010 event discussed how Tom and the panel were slightly dismayed that Michael Arrington didn’t show up to the event.


I found it rather “awe-inspiring” that Tom went onto talk in an old media type style in relation to how embargoes should be dealt with.


So, before I go ahead with the post, let’s quickly sum up Michael Arrington’s opinion on the matter.  ”Break every embargo”, three magic words written by Arrington himself in an article at Techcrunch.com in December 2008.
