I am completing a prototype now with my technical partner who is doing this project on the side of his full-time job. He does not want to leave his job and go without income for a period of time. I am thinking of raising a seed round (~25K) for 10% to use to get me from prototype to alpha with trial customers. The feedback I am getting so far is very positive.

Before I try to raise a seed round I want a full-time technical co-founder in place....what are your thoughts on this approach? I want to work for no salary, alongside this partner, through the next 3 or 4 months as we complete the alpha.

Any advice is appreciated including technical contacts who have experience developing scalable video-centric apps on the internet. Thanks
