SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- Barnes & Noble Inc. unveiled a new e-reader device called the Nook on Tuesday afternoon. The bookseller said the device will be available by the end of November at a price of $259 - equal to the Kindle from Amazon.com . The device also allows users to lend e-books to friends for a preiod of up to 14 days. The device works with the company's e-book online store, which offers more than 1 million books, newspapers and magazines for download.
