Want Your Own Twitter Business? 11 Apps Go On Sale

Summary

We’ve covered dozens if not hundreds (or thousands) of Twitter applications over the past couple years, some of which have gone on to great success, but many of which have fizzled out after initial buzz.

Now, 11 apps, most of which would appear to fall somewhere in between, are up for sale. Twtapps, the developer of polling, invite, greeting card, and other Twitter apps is looking for a buyer.

According to the company’s blog post about the sale, “two of our applications are the most used on Twitter for what they do: Twtpoll, for polls/surveys and Twtvite, for events.”

Why are they throwing in the towel? More from their post:

“From developing Twtapps, I have found out that I enjoy coming up with new ideas and bringing them to market fast. Since some of the apps have been very successful, I have had to devote most of my time improving and adding new features to these apps and less time developing new ones.
