Summary
You probably already get social media, and see its value, and think it’s really nifty cool. But if you can’t articulate the benefits and the return on the effort, and several other little details to the folks upstairs, it’s going to be hard to get your ideas moved from “wouldn’t this be great?” to “let’s assign a project manager and get started.” Read the full article

Chris is a smart dude, but it's very hard to convince old school enterprise guys to try and do new media. I've been trying for a long time with very little success.

I agree with you Luis, and I agree with you Luis. Chris is definitely a smart dude, and he keeps amazing me with his blog posts.
I also agree with you, that it is hard to sell anything web2.0ish to a lot of the old school'ers in big business.
I have an idea that old schoolers turn these ideas down coz they don't understand whats beeing talked about. I mean, they're obviously smart fellows, but I wonder if by selling them these ideas, there should be focused on one particular idea/benefit, instead of what I have seen a number of times - that it gets sold like some kind of a internet revolution. Well anyway, I'm rambling here...
