In the spirit of Thomas Jefferson, we declare our support for the agrarian dream: the dream of true democracy and of self-sufficiency. It is a dream of a new way of being, a new way of living. To secure our rights to Justice, domestic Tranquility, common defense, general Welfare and the Blessings of Liberty, it is now necessary to reject the evils of industrial agricultural that plague our society. The necessity of radical change is compelling and urgent. Just as Love is the key that unlocks the door to ultimate reality, organized farmers and food-sector employees are the key to Democracy.

For the freedom of independent farmers, all people, and all other animals and life, we are united in support of “food sovereignty” and a decentralized, Permaculturalized agriculture – the only popular, proven, equitable, and efficient solution to global warming, peak oil.
