Der Schweizer Datenschutzbeauftragte Hanspeter Thür bringt es auf den Punkt: «Das Internet kennt kein Vergessen.» In seinem jüngsten Tätigkeitsbericht widmet er sich erneut – und nicht zum ersten Mal – der Datenschutzproblematik des World Wide Web. «Datenschutzgesetze waren ursprünglich darauf ausgerichtet, Personendaten vor der unrechtmässigen oder übermässigen Bearbeitung durch den Staat, später auch durch die Wirtschaft zu schützen.» In jüngster Zeit ist ein neuer Aspekt hinzugekommen.
