You absolutely correct that the word chemical doesn't necessarily equal "bad". After all, we eat chemicals every single day. These vague terms like 'chemical', 'organic', 'natural', etc. are totally unhelpful and often misleading. As always, the only way to protect ourselves and understand what's going on is to educate ourselves. No one is going to take that responsibility for us - nor should they.
