Summary

That's what one of our alpha users said to me by email today in reference to our Newsmaker feature on socialmedian. Nice. Thanks!

Just like Drudge enables anyone/anywhere to follow the stories he's clipping on any given day, that's what socialmedian enables our users to do -- at a much greater scale.

On socialmedian you can follow people who share your interests and essentially get your news through them. We call the people you follow your "Newsmakers." You can easily track the stories your Newsmakers are clipping and discussing. Best of all, you can do that across many users all in one place.

And, of course, you can also become a Newsmaker yourself and build your own following.

This is just the start but it's coming along nicely. We'll be looking at ways to enhance this feature set, enable more
personalization and customization, and enable users to take it to go via widgets on their blogs and social networks of choice. Read the full article

Hey, it would be really great to hear from our newsmakers which features they would like to see us add most to make being a Newsmaker more effective for you.

Is it widgets on your own site showing your clips? Or, is it connecting your blog or google reader directly to your socialmedian page? Or, a better toolbar? Or, being able to personalize your socialmedian mypage? Or being able to send out text chats to your followers on news topics? etc. Bring on the ideas and suggestions!!!
