Tony La Russa just doesn't know when (or how) to shut up.
After screaming to anyone who would listen to him two weeks back that he was suing Twitter over a username squatter (an account with, at the time, about 8 followers), Tony La Russa just hasn't been able to shut up about how badly Twitter maligned his reputation. Recently, reports have circulated that Twitter has settled the lawsuit.
Today, Twitter struck back against the rumors, calling La Russa's lawsuit "an unnecessary waste of judicial resources bordering on frivolous" and said that the microblogging platform was confident that they would be absolved in court (which could leave La Russa vulnerable to legal counteraction - more on this as the story develops).
