You could replicate some of the features in One Simple Move yourself, but at the expense of time and added stress. A free account at One Simple Move gives you access to a central planning station for your next move. There is a calendar to map out tasks related to your move, complete with email reminders. Reviewing their moving and planning checklists is a great way to populate your calendar with action dates like contacting the DMV to change your address and making sure your utility companies know you're leaving.
