Summary

Feeling a little overwhelmed by your social networking and the choices you face while you’re just trying to talk to people? Don’t feel alone. Most of the people I talk to are really just trying to figure out all of these tools; how to use them, what they’re all good for, and how to not waste all of their time with them.

No idea or tool applies equally well to every social network. Not every social network applies equally well to every task. Which you choose to to use to complete your work will dramatcially affect not only how you do things, but what all you actually do.

One of the newest categories of applications is the “social desktop” Grown out of the market for Twitter clients we’re starting to see applications give us access to multiple social networks, and other sources of informations on the web and elsewhere on the internet.
