Hmmm...food for thought - pardon the pun :-) You are right of course, right from pregnancy through to adulthood we should we watching what we eat. We should be monitoring what our children eat. Most of us with our first children are model parents doing all the right things, it's the siblings that suffer. My first son never got a biscuit, homemade or purchased until he was well over 18months of age - however those good intentions sort of fell out the window with siblings...as soon as they could eat properly - around that 9mths - older siblings (preschoolers) were happy to oblige bubs by sharing their munched on morsel.

McDonalds and other popular franchise chains all marketing 'healthy' alternatives - really need to be analysed for what they are - special treat 'junk' food.

Thanks for this article, very true and informative.
