When will the Twitter madness end? Perhaps in a fiery car crash.

Gear Live reports that OnStar is looking to add a Twitter app to its service. Twittering while you drive? Well, sort of. You would not actually have to type in your Tweet - OnStar's voice-activated, hands-free calling system would do the work for you. Just speak into it, and your thoughts will show up on your Twitter feed.

The service could also read your Twitter feed aloud to you as you drive.

"You can voice-tweet something like 'I'm headed to downtown Seattle, where can I find the best slice of pizza?' You can then listen for responses, and when you hear one, have OnStar direct you to that location," according to the blog.

I suppose that's one option, but what about Tweets that include links, or re-tweets? I'm as Twitter-addicted as the next person, but you might want to give it a rest while you're behind the wheel?
