Yesterday I began doing some research to determine if there was a shift taking place among top Twitter users and Facebook users given the new Facebook design. I was trying to determine the most effective barometer of user influence across both sites and the only thing I could come up with was a comparison of the top users on each site. I'm not sure of the broader trends but it's an interesting comparison. They are such different types of social networks. As far as I'm concerned, the more data like this, the better. Trends change so fast on the Internet, I'm sure 3 months or 6 months, you'll have completely different "leaders" on both networks.
