Twitter appears to be in the process of rolling out its integrated search feature with a search box and a trends button appearing on some user profiles today. While the feature is not yet available to all users, our guess is that it's very much on the way - and soon.
The trends tab offers a drop down list of top ten trending topics (Chris Brown being the current most discussed topic), and the search box allows you to search in real time on any topic. Refresh your screen to see if you have the option yet, or take a look at our screen shots below.
Twitter and the question - "What are you doing?" - were just the beginning. Now that there is a steady of and growing flow of text (information & junk) and pictures it is time to add value to this basic service. Tweets are the stream of collective consciousness of the hive mind that the Internet really forms with us, the users of the internet, as nerve cells and our computers as synapses. Stimulate the hive mind by feeding it information and measure response times and intensity. Collect data and learn how to manipulate the hive mind into responses and reactions you chose. You who can read the hive mind will have the power. Welcome to the master brain of the world, my fellow surfers.
