So far, so good: Speedo and watchmaker Omega said they're keeping endorsement deals with Michael Phelps, despite pictures of the champion swimmer smoking pot. But he must pretend to quit weed forever.

Phelps apologized for his actions, just like he did after being arrested for driving drunk following the 2004 Athens games, right down to the part where he said "it will not happen again." what message does this give to people that look up to him??? (I guess thats most of us - he's 6'4!) but you get my point.. The same happened here with Kate Moss and her coke habbit...

Amazing. Does it depend on who the guilty party is, and what they did for the country? or is it reflective of changing values towards pot?
