The reputation of India's IT services industry took another blow today after it emerged that Wipro has been barred from working for the World Bank, less than a month after Satyam Computer Services was blacklisted by the institution.

I disagree. Outsourcing has just begun and it has become mainstream. Banking and power industry of USA is still there ;) Scams happen everywhere and things will go on.

@thomaspower a bold statement. Like all the SI's I think they are being challenged further now, specifically on value and not just pure cost. Its for the organisation outsourcing to ensure they control and manage correctly. At the end of the day, a broken process outsourced is usually just a cheaper broken process. Its deciding what to outsource and what to transform is key in making best use of this model.

Other outsourcing firms will take Wipro and Satyam's clients in India. It ain't over yet.
