As I was zipping home from my ritual Saturday morning run to Starbucks, I noticed a group of unfamiliar cars parked on the street in front of my neighbor's house. Actually it was more than just a group of cars it was more like 15 or 20 cars. The amount of cars you would normally associate with a party or a good size to-do.
Only after I parked my car in the driveway, took a long hard gulp of coffee, walked the 100 yards back to my neighbor's house 2 doors down, did I finally realize what was going on.
And you thought that it was beneath the dignity of rich people to participate in the most popular of plebeian rituals----The Garage Sale or for the more upper crust, The Yard Sale.
If memory serves me correctly, and it being Saturday morning and not Saturday night, I do believe my memory is in top form, the CC&Rs of this neighborhood (covenants, conditions, and restrictions) strictly prohibit any form of business enterprise to be operated in the community that can easily be recognized or detected as such by any other resident of the community.
