In what may be a first for any government the world over, the Consulate General of Israel in New York will be holding a public press conference about the war in Gaza via Twitter. @infodiva Someone just twittered, "Bet those will be some short Q&A's" I still think it's a great idea for a press conference. There haven't been many fail whale's lately, and when there are they don't seem to last to long. If they could handle election night, this should be no problem. Then again...
@robdiana I never got back to you the other day about your question re: twitter going mainstream. I'm sorry about that, but this story reminded me of it. Kinda starting to reach the mainstream. I also noticed a bunch of young people from MySpace who are starting to adopt it. They use it compleatly different too. It's in line with how they interact on my space. @infodiva Don't worry, you didn't miss much. There was way too much noise. Unlike the primary or the election, where everyone was focused on the same thing, this took place right in the middle of a busy twitter day. Someone needs to develop an app that properly threads multiple Q&A's together specifically for these type of events. They ended early because they were swamped with too many questions.
