Summary

Back in October Facebook has announced the 25 winners of fbFund, each of which has received $25,000 to develop their application further. That was only one round of fbFund; now, 5 winners have been chosen, with each receiving additional 225.000 dollars.

fbFund is a 10 million dollar seed fund which is a little different than traditional seed funds; the startups that receive grants keep 100% equity, however Facebook, together with its partners - venture capital firms Accel Partners and Founders Fund - has the first rights to invest in these startups in case they seek additional funding.

The winning startups are:

GroupCard - GroupCard lets users rally their friends to sign the same printable online card to celebrate any occassion. Each friend can add a message, upload photos or audio, and even make a gift contribution. GroupCard started at Stanford, and is already used by thousands of groups worldwide.
