Hey, I just changed jobs and because I was actively looking, I saw the great job I ultimately got in a half-dozen places. But one of those places was definitely on Twitter and I saw it there first. I'm not saying that I got the job because I saw it on Twitter, but you better believe I give Twitter at least some of the credit.
I'm following a twitter job posting member which lists only jobs in my specialty. If other active Twitter users haven't had similar experiences, I'd be surprised.
Also, if you follow Twitter users in your own industry, you are bound to see at least an occasional post about job openings. I posted a job notice for my previous employer just before leaving. Clearly you've got to be paying attention *when* the post is in your Twitter stream - but I was paying attention while looking for my current job and got it. Just another tool in the job hunting toolbox.
In the article I actually give a link to one person's account of how they found a job on Twitter. But just search Twitter and you'll see for yourself. Try "need + position" and you'll see a number of people offering or discussing.
