Ah. But that's a general 'much less than you think'. It comes down to personal cultural differences at the end of the day, which are harder to control or gauge.... Eh?
Actually, not so general. I spent four years (@ 360 days per year) travelling the world implementing and managing manufacturing and finacial systems for an oil company, followed by 12 years in the US - my culture wagon hasn't yet stopped. Four trips totalling over three months to Perth, Oz - and some amazing people. From a tech standpoint, it's the US that's getting left behind as Europe and Australasia forge ahead. The US has experienced a huge brain drain as it outsources left right and center for the sake of a cheap dollar - it doesn't really have too much stability left in terms of driving global best practices. Thanks for the feedback guys. It's interesting to hear your thoughts regarding the gap between Australia, the US & Europe. I haven't worked overseas, so can't comment from personal experience. But I do work for one of Australia's largest digital marketing agency's, so get constant exposure to the practices of some of the country's largest brands. The word underwhelmed comes to mind :)
