Summary

The news media is starting to talk about McCain having buyer’s remorse when the new national polls results were released. His strategy did not push through. He knew that the nation is looking up to their candidates for a new kind of leadership, Senator McCain certainly does not fit that persona. So what he did? He brought in a little known female governor. There’s really two parts to his strategy and here’s how I see it:


1) The play on female voters around the nation.

Senator Clinton has really energize the female voters around the country without a doubt, but all that movement and energy took a turn when Hillary failed to win the Democratic ticket. McCain knew he could energize his dying campaign by taking a risky move, putting a female VP on his ticket in hopes that he could steal a little bit of momentum and attention from what Hillary’s campaign hoping to reach out to the nation’s female voters. I have to say, that worked partially towards his plan. Everyone was interested in finding who Sarah Palin was.


2) A less experienced and less known VP
