Re-connecting with government is easier said than done. Over past decades there has been a world wide move to bring government to the people by empowering local government and doing more consultation with the public. The results have been mixed with suspicion of hidden agendas and consultation fatigue widespread. If this technology can re-create the two-way flow of communication, there may still be hope.
