: UGH! I always forget to login and I loose my comments. Good Article. Years ago when I said I signed up for services not to use them, but to "manage my online identity" people looked at me like i was speaking in tongues. At that time I guess I was. I was happy to see the article talk about how this generation of online users is aware of this and does take care to manage their presence. It took a while, but now i lock up 90% of the first 2-3 pages when you google my name.
: In a similar effort towards identity control (but for different reasons) I was actually able keep my identity OUT of Google, Yahoo!, and other search engine results. It became fun for a while but in recent years I realize I need to leverage these social tools to continue to move forward and evolve. Change can be difficult, but imperative to achieve progress and innovate (e.g. Book "Who Moved My Cheese", etc.)...
