: Does anyone actually still listen to corporate news anymore . . . ?
Tweets could no more numb our sense of morality and make us indifferent to human suffering than could the ticker-tape headlines running across the bottom of the screen on every corporate news channel. With 140 characters, headlines and a link to the full story is about as good as you are going to get. But isn't that the case with any web-based news feeds?

: This is the dumbest news story I have ever read. Please tell me it is a joke. Twitter does make it easy to tune in and out but....isn't that the same as the power button on a TV? The ability to fold a newspaper and put it away?

Sources: Google In Late Stage Talks To Acquire Twitter
Apr 03, 2009

TechCrunch Here’s a heck of a rumor that we’ve sourced from two separate people close to the negotiations: Google is in late stage negotiations to acquire Twitter. We don’t know the price but can assume its well, well north of the $250 million valuation that they saw in their recent funding. Twitter turned down an offer to be bought b (Read More)

: I was amazed that the Facebook offer was not accepted but as this story points out the Facebook stock is not and cannot be considered the same as cash. Google can and will pay cash if they want but Google and Twitter do not seem to be as good or logical fit as Facebook and Twitter may have been.

: This was very enlightening! Although, I still am on the fence with the redesign.

- Facebook's "real-time" news feed has yet to work for me (and most others if the other s|m users are any indication)
- The news feed on profiles is not in chronological order!
- We also lost the ability to adjust the sizes of our own profile feed updates (one-line, short, or full) on the fly...I appreciated that kind of control.

What Facebook Will Look Like In A Few Years
Mar 20, 2009

digg.com: Stories / Technology / Popular Facebook unveiled their new design last week, and guess what: it sucks.
