I don't think this idea works as for permanent tracking functionality but I like the concept for quick checking of keywords during some event.

In theory it's just designed to be a simple, live monitor... but i WAS thinking that one improvement would be if it were to store up tweets that matched your searches so that when you come back it would show them... would that be more useful?
I suppose i was trying not to reinvent the wheel.. and htere are lots of email notification services for twitter out there... i wanted something more immediate..

: I have seen this in action within my Twitter network and was pretty amazed. I know Firefox isn't a major corporation - but I was stunned when they contacted me about Firefox 3 crashes based on my tweets. Any corporation who doesn't have PR folks listening to social networks is losing customers based on negative word of mouth. Can you imagine if Apple responded to iPhone and MobileMe issues as they were happening?

I'm not happy with the term Blogging 2.0, but it gets the point across.
