: Hi five folks - when I tried MLM what I was taught was especially with certain products and depending on which products chosen - was its best if you use the product yourself so you understood what it was all about before you sold it on to a customer because some how I was told the prospect would be more in tune with you if you honestly spoke about the product from experience and I think I got the message back from my own customers with repeat orders - some how the pay structure was the last thought in my mind and thats probably the reason I drifted away from MLM I should have read a post like yours before I went in to MLM - then MLM might have turned out differently - what i did like about the MLM biz was the enthusiasm spread by the most successful dealers in this MLM industry it was very refreshing and a buzz going to the distributors meetings a lot of marketing knowledge can be learned through this kind of salesmanship model - Way to go Bill great post mate Phillip Skinner 62

: It was funny to see 'needing a hubby' from a guy. :-) Your article is spot on, though, because just getting a name on your list doesn't mean much of anything. This is even more true in the age of social media where the buyer has all the power. Consumers have gotten much more savvy and are demanding high quality products and excellent customer service. All honest biz owners should applaud this development.

I get an image of the evil ring master saying to the clown in the circus "I OWN YOU now that you agreed to the TOS" mwaahahahah!..as he plays with his pointy mustache. On average, the ratio of male to female Facebook users is .85, meaning that there are significantly more Female facebook users than male ones. This plays out with general trends in social networking gender demographics, which tend to show a predominantly female base of users. Looking deeper and viewing Facebook’s gender demographics on a national basis, though, we find some stark differences which break down along less obvious lines. The three most “feminine” countries, Russia, Poland, and Lithuania, are all European countries, each with a ratio of almost 2 female Facebook users for every male facebook user. In fact, the majority of large European countries are neutral or leaning feminine, with the notable exception of Turkey, which shows a strong male demographic. : I think it is a brilliant move. This gives a human voice to the brand that consumers will appreciate. After all consumers eat the candy why not learn and interact directly with the people that spend the money on their product? The boost in media attention is also brilliant. I think I'll go buy some Skittles now... I forgot that I like them.

: Wow, I hadn't read about this, I have seen that you can use Twitter not only as a social medium, but also a money making venture. I think maybe not only is the moral of the story 'think before you tweet' - why is it that you're tweeting in the first place, is it to brand yourself for business, keep in touch with friends and family? I think with technology the way it is, we've forgotten the good ole days of 'the telephone', not texting or emailing and actually visiting people in person, where one can. Twitter is now the modern day version of 'bush telegraph'!! Happy twitterererering :-)
