: Hi five folks - when I tried MLM what I was taught was especially with certain products and depending on which products chosen - was its best if you use the product yourself so you understood what it was all about before you sold it on to a customer because some how I was told the prospect would be more in tune with you if you honestly spoke about the product from experience and I think I got the message back from my own customers with repeat orders - some how the pay structure was the last thought in my mind and thats probably the reason I drifted away from MLM I should have read a post like yours before I went in to MLM - then MLM might have turned out differently - what i did like about the MLM biz was the enthusiasm spread by the most successful dealers in this MLM industry it was very refreshing and a buzz going to the distributors meetings a lot of marketing knowledge can be learned through this kind of salesmanship model -
: I agree that all MLM compensation plans are flawed you just have to find one that you can live with. All these plans sound great in the beginning but somehow all them money seems to go to just a few.

: The internet gives us the power to connect with virtually anyone, and more importantly, to connect with people that can teach us, mentor us, and empower us to be great at whatever we want. It is an opportunity like no other in my opinion.
I really like your point about looking for people that are on fire about what they do and supporting them. Although it may take a few years, supporting a network of enthusiastic, positive people could lead to all sorts of incredible openings down the track.
: This is a great article and I agree with the people you hang around will have a great influence on where you go in life. If you are not happy where you are at, change the situation so you are happy.

: This is a great article Charles. I really love the point about network with prospects rather than networking to get prospects. After all if you put out entertaining, enlightening, or educational content prospects will find their way back to our site where we can network till our heart's content.

: It was funny to see 'needing a hubby' from a guy. :-) Your article is spot on, though, because just getting a name on your list doesn't mean much of anything. This is even more true in the age of social media where the buyer has all the power. Consumers have gotten much more savvy and are demanding high quality products and excellent customer service. All honest biz owners should applaud this development.

: You are so right, Heartsmart, Life to the fullest! John 10:9-11 9 I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved.[a] He will come in and go out, and find pasture. 10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. 11 I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.
: Thoughts held in mind (until believed) produce after their kind. TEh anointed always asked the subject if they believed they could be healed and it was done according to their belief. The power lies within each of us.

: Why would Facebook want to change their TOS to something so draconian? I get an image of the evil ring master saying to the clown in the circus "I OWN YOU now that you agreed to the TOS" mwaahahahah!..as he plays with his pointy mustache. Not that the Facebook members are clowns. I know, it's not a perfect analogy. But the outcome was pretty impressive.

As Facebook celebrates its fifth birthday this month, we’re taking a quick look at Facebook’s gender demographics, overall and on a per-country basis. The following analysis was constructed using usage statistics obtained directly from Facebook, and represents a country-by-country national snapshot of Facebook’s gender rati (Read More)
: This info has got to be 9crt gold ... thanks for sharing Overall, Facebook’s demographics reveal some interesting trends which bear mentioning. On average, the ratio of male to female Facebook users is .85, meaning that there are significantly more Female facebook users than male ones. This plays out with general trends in social networking gender demographics, which tend to show a predominantly female base of users.
Looking deeper and viewing Facebook’s gender demographics on a national basis, though, we find some stark differences which break down along less obvious lines. The three most “feminine” countries, Russia, Poland, and Lithuania, are all European countries, each with a ratio of almost 2 female Facebook users for every male facebook user. In fact, the majority of large European countries are neutral or leaning feminine, with the notable exception of Turkey, which shows a strong male demographic.
For Western English speaking countries the ratio of males to females was very similar with about 40-45% male and 55-60% female.

: I think it is a brilliant move. This gives a human voice to the brand that consumers will appreciate. After all consumers eat the candy why not learn and interact directly with the people that spend the money on their product?
The boost in media attention is also brilliant. I think I'll go buy some Skittles now... I forgot that I like them.
: Whether you like Skittles or not it's absolutely clear that this brilliant marketing move has prompted thousands, if not millions of people to let their feelings be known. Maybe that's just called - jumping on the bandwagon!
: In viral marketing you can never know whats effective and what's not, until you do it. The risk is huge, but when you make the right move, reward can be outstanding
: I didn't realize that Facebook had passed Myspace. The graph makes it look like Facebook is smoking everyone. I also thought Twitter would have been third. My guess is that Twitter will be in the top 2 by this time next year.

: Wow, I hadn't read about this, I have seen that you can use Twitter not only as a social medium, but also a money making venture.
I think maybe not only is the moral of the story 'think before you tweet' - why is it that you're tweeting in the first place, is it to brand yourself for business, keep in touch with friends and family?
I think with technology the way it is, we've forgotten the good ole days of 'the telephone', not texting or emailing and actually visiting people in person, where one can.
Twitter is now the modern day version of 'bush telegraph'!!
: Twitter is a great way to get the word out of what you are promoting. I really need to learn how to use it more effectively just like many other social networks. Each one is different and many are not easy to use effectively.
: Kudos to your comment, Wellness360. I think there's a word for this amazingly enormous group of humans...Sheeple. And they seem to continue to recruit new herd members at an alarming rate. Sadly, Twitter-joke fodder is a sparkling diamond in the sky for them.
