: I'm *shocked*, SHOCKED, I tell you. Once again drives home the importance of good sex ed that at least provides the basics about how to be safe and, you know, not get pregnant. Teenage humans are by nature interested in this sort of thing. Might as well equip them with the knowledge to deal with it. Common sense and wisdom will hopefully follow later.
And no, I don't believe that telling them how the plumbing works and how to turn off certain valves or avoid contamination encourages them to use it more. It just means they won't spring leaks at inconvenient times.
