: Hm, I'm not entirely convinced. True, building your name as a brand online, sharing and fueling the discussion helps, but commenting for traffic and readership seems like the old way to go. I much prefer to enter the conversation in places like this, and Twitter/FF of course. Still, no doubt that when the topic is a shared one, commenting helps. As long as you do it for the content, not the visibility.

I actually think that Obama's comments yesterday and today regarding his race and not looking like our previous presidents was brilliant. Hang a lantern on it and be proud of it ... cause you know the Republicans are going to demonize him about it. (Read More)
: We are all becoming a mix of so many races. Obama, half white, half black. Tiger Woods, half black, half Asian. Soon there will be no race card, and we can move forward. Colin Powell has Scottish ancestry and so do I.
: I am all for Obama calling attention to his race. His diversity is an asset and accentuates the change and open-mindedness and progressive message that younger people have especially rallied around. He is right, he does not look like our previous presidents, and that's a blessing. It is now clearer than ever that if America does not evolve and change fast, the American era will fade very fast.
: “Barack Obama has played the race card, and he played it from the bottom of the deck,” campaign manager Rick Davis said in a statement. “It's divisive, negative, shameful and wrong.”
It is a variation on the stump speech Mr. Obama used during the primaries, where he spoke that his opponents would invoke his name and his ethnicity in an effort to sow doubts about his patriotism. It is a delicate card to play and it can backfire on both sides. Once we are past this, the issues will be the ones that really matter. I support Senator Obama, and I have "Hope" for our future.
