: In Maine last week, there was no 3G signal at all. In the hinterlands, I was lucky to get ANY signal. In Portland, I could get an EDGE signal. 3G apparently doesn't extend northward of the Massachusetts/NH border. Not much this update will do for folks up there. But I have to say that the all-EDGE service was consistent despite being a bit slow.
