: I'm encouraged to see the middle man out of the equation in some cases. I remember with fond memories lines of people coming to my grandparents for their produce and cotton.
I especially remember to the huge baskets of grapes I would help with from their vineyard. They were poor by today's standards but not by mine. Their small farm was rich with laughter and wonderful whole foods. Thanks for bringing back these memories.
We can all find a way to buy directly from the small farmer. After being more informed from this article, I'm going to find out more about the farms close to me. I know they will ship organic produce once weekly for a modest price.
