Twitter has experienced phenomenal growth since its inception, but up until now it has remained a mystery what it would do to generate income. Many have speculated that premium accounts would be one way, and now that has been confirmed. (Read More)
: I've just read this - they dont make sense to me, perhaps not enough bird seed.. does anyone see a reall benefit in spending the money on these for a few extra characters. Doesn't this break away from the core essence of what twitter deliver.. simplification.. All you will have is a large injection of text mixed into a conversation with 500 char tweets...I dont think it works.. Always open to new ideas though....
: Premium accounts is an option for those who sell products and reports on Twitter. I think it is only fair that the developers of Twitter generate money, since so many other twitter add-on applications have been generating revenues for its developers. If Twitter allows its users the option of using Twitter free, I think that is still an excellent choice for those not interested in the premium accounts.

Microsoft has released the latest version of its Web browser, Internet Explorer 8. While the features include improved security and supposedly faster performance, we’re more interested in how the company is promoting IE8 through social media. Once again, Microsoft is turning to what they hope will be viral video. The comp (Read More)

When Facebook updated its users' homepages last week, we already wondered how users would react to these changes. After all, when Facebook introduced the news feed in 2006, its users were anything but happy about this change. Now, a new application is quickly spreading on Facebook that allows users to vote on the new design (Read More)
: Even if the change was the best thing in the world, many people would likely still compplain. Maybe Facebook should take a leaf out of Google's book and offer new features and interfaces in beta to people who opt in first. That way they get a chance to refine the new release, and it creates a buzz that makes people want to opt in. And/or maybe making updates in smaller pieces so there's no big shock factor.
: I love the new Facebook homepage because it is easier to navigate and it allows its user to interact with their friends easier. I think more people would like the design if there were tutorials showing how to use the new changes.

There are a few established players in the world of Twitter directories. We have covered several directories, including Twellow and Just Tweet It , as well as compared Twitter directories based on their usefulness. But after this weekend, they may find themselves struggling against a new competitor. (Read More)
: "The premise is simple: anyone can tweet to @wefollow hashtags that represent what categories they would like to be listed under. WeFollow sees these @replies and then organizes users based on those hashtags. Common hashtags include #blogger, #entrepreneur, and #socialmedia. WeFollow only allows for three hashtags per person, assuring the directory does not become overly cluttered."
: Kevin strikes again! His appearance on Jimmy Fallon probably didn't hurt either! ;-) I thought TWELLOW was cool, but WEFOLLOW adds some graphical viewing treats!

Well, it took several days, but I finally got the new Facebook homepage. With this redesign, Facebook realized the battle is for conversation. Conversation makes a site more of a destination for people, and the new redesign is completely targeted towards this. As much as sites like Twitter and FriendFeed have been battling (Read More)
: I preferred the previous style, but I'm much more of a Twitter/Friendfeed user than Facebook in any case, so for me personally, it's not a big issue, as I don't spend long in there
: Not funny. Not clever. Says he loves his sentences and hates to edit them yet they are filed with cuss words and irrelevant fat. By the way, Twitter is ripe for good parody, this was not good parody.
: It's pretty obvious that he isn't a devoted tweeter. Most of his objections/complaints are so yesterday's news. Got more to say than 140 characters can hold? No worries... let it flow onto the next tweet. How hard is that? I agree with Jwmitch. Not funny not impressed. I hope he kept his day job.
