: Interesting. I know here at my school many professors do not see your questions/concerns through email as legit unless they are sent through a school source (school e-mail); they are afraid they are spam. Most young kids create immature and embarrassing e-mail names ("stud", "hot", "baby"). In this case, they (probably) will create a new one when they start college if the school doesn't give them one. I know Google runs our school e-mail now and it great. I just can't imagine eliminating the school e-mail addresses altogether verification reasons.

: Maybe I'm misunderstanding something here. What I imagined is that a 3rd party site could build code so that whenever a member posted a story there, it was automatically snipped into Socialmedian as well. So there'd be an API somewhat like the bit of the twitter API that allows a program to post a tweet.

: @jasongoldberg Thanks you, and everyone on the team in Pune, for all of the hard work you have done. I guess I better shave! This should be a great addition to the site. Hopefully it will bring a large part of the Seesmic userbase over to socialmedian. I've had an account set up there for weeks now, in the hope you might include this.(I bought a web cam too). Unfortunately, I might not be able to use it for a few days. My graphic card died on me a couple of days ago, and the onboard chip isn't cutting it. I'm going to contact Dell right now and see how long it will take to fix. I hope the rest of your trip brings many more exciting announcements! Thanks again!
