: So how do the hard working folks keep the new liberal president and the largely democratic senate and house out of our pockets. The one thing that we cannot afford is 12% unemployment, 12% annual cost of living increases, tax rates doubling accross the board, etc that has been seen when liberalism runs rampant. So where does the small business man go when the mandates that our new president says he will pursue makes it impossible to stay afloat and we die, along with our employees joining the unemployment lines..... We can only hope that he is a smart as the "majority" thinks he is and he does not play the stupid card.

Wow. All in one day, I learn that the Facebook platform is dead, Blogs are passé and RSS is only used by 11% of people (or some percentage of those who know what it is). Here’s my response: 1. I have no idea if the Facebook platform is alive or dead. I’ve got left-over MREs from Y2K, however, so I think I can survive its dem (Read More)

Being a Twitter user (@dspark) for some time now, I like many others have become evangelical about the micro-blogging tool.I believe what makes Twitter so valuable are these moments of connectivity that simply aren’t possible through any other communications tool. For some reason, many people have the idea that if they use a social network or other popular website they can say whatever they want. People feel that sites like Facebook are their playground. They can talk about their employer or former employer without any recourse. People are finding out that this is not true. [...]. (Read More)

As a final word of warning, proceed cautiously with any polls that were in the field last night. Friday nights are difficult enough to poll, and holidays are difficult enough to poll, but when a Friday night coincides with a holiday (in this case, Halloween), getting an appropriate sample is all but impossible. : This is beginning to look like a five-state election. Those states are Virginia, Colorado, Pennsylvania, Ohio and Nevada. Essentially all relevant electoral scenarios involve some combination of these five states.
I should caution that by far the most likely scenario is that Obama wins some relatively decisive victory of anywhere from 3-12 points in the popular vote. If Obama wins the popular vote by anything in this range, he will find plenty of blue territory, accumulating somewhere between 300-400 electoral votes. The electoral math will matter very little.
: The last time is tomorrow, i think what will be, will be, may God direct all America in order to make the right vote, and stay the first nation in the world.

I call on all Obama supporters to consider immediately wearing clothes of mourning... a black arm band or a black shirt or some other article of black clothing - in a peaceful protest... not only against the feeling that the election has been or is being stolen...But in protest that in the year 2008 - when Technology is so (Read More)

Shout it, blog it, twitter it and podcast it. The blogosphere is mightier then the sword! You, sir, are mightier then the sword! Mourning is for the dead. Democracy isn't dying on my watch. As the world of online "friends" is getting increasingly blurred, and many of us are joining social network after social network, expanding our realm of friends to mean much more than just those we know in real life, artificial rules of etiquette are being created for when you follow someone or add them as a friend, and whe (Read More)

How useful can communication limited to 140 characters be for serious journalism? : Want timely updates? Twitter is a must. Whether used to get a personal take or a breaking local angle, Twitter is a tool journalists need to have at their disposal. I've used it to access people for interviews. Sometimes works quicker than phone or email!
