What's happening at the center of our Milky Way Galaxy? To help find out, the orbiting Hubble and Spitzer space telescopes have combined their efforts to survey the region in unprecedented detail in infrared light. Infrared light is particularly useful for probing the Milky Way's center because visible light is more greatly (Read More)

IBM has just released a list of five innovations it thinks we'll see in the next five years, and they're ridiculous. It's the kind of crap we laugh at when we see old Life magazine from the 40's predicting airship kitchens by the year 2000. Here's the list: -Energy saving solar technology printed and stuck onto asphalt, pai (Read More)

Sorry if it sounds like I'm drinking the Google Kool-Aid here, but I switched from Mozilla Firefox to Google Chrome as my default browser for the very reason Google's executives said we should: speed. News.com Poll Why switch to Chrome? What would it take to get you to switch to Chrome? If there's (Read More)
: Hmm...an interesting read, but I still do prefer Firefox (for now). While Chrome does have many advantages over Firefox, it is not enough for me to transfer my blogoholic habits over to the other side of the fence.

AT&T has confirmed what was once rumor. Laptop tethering is coming to the iPhone. AT&T Mobility President and CEO Ralph De La Vega has said that wireless modem tethering will be available "soon." More details as they come in. (Read More)
: No idea at all. And yes, I bet they charge more to tether. Stinkers. You can do it for free with many other devices. No idea on MMS; given the ability to email photos, it's pretty irrelevant for sending. The mechanism for reading 'em is still pretty kludgy.
: @digiphile Ah yeah. I miss my jailbroken phone which I used for tethering. Oh yeah the MMS reading part is pretty pathetic. For sending I usually send them to the email addresses of my friend's cell phones. Heard of OrbLive streaming TV for iPhone? I wonder what ATT has to say about that.
