: For corporate social media, I agree with FaceBook, LinkedIn and perhaps MySpace (depending on your targeted demographic). I have advised some corporate clients to use Twitter depending on resources, objectives, etc but social bookmarking sites in my opinion are not a "must have" in CSM. In the Social Media space I think we have to be careful to develop strategies that fit our client, are resource efficient and align with their overall objectives.
: I definitely like StumbleUpon. My sites wouldn't have any traffic if it wasn't for StumbleUpon. However I doubt very many people ever come back, they just Stumble on.

I went on LinkedIn for the first time in months today and accepted about 150 pending contact requests. Great. Now what? I never find much use for LinkedIn except for people trying to contact me -- typically for things I'm not really interested in. I also find that if I ignore LinkedIn for a bit of time it kinda just goe (Read More)
: @VincentWright Yes. Whether it is professional networking or social networking you have to think of what you are getting out of all your hyper activity. This is very true in case of professional networking because every minute we spend there adds to cost like any other resource we use.
: Linkedin has opened me new avenues to connect to key people of my field which otherwise is not possible in Job search sites as I am representing many freelancers who don't have much time to promote their image online. Linkedin has given us front page listings in google searches to our Project Vyas which over a period of time has created recognition and credibility among our local communities as no one else in our town has used Linkedin in such an extensive way. Today many software professionals, project managers, HR people natives of my town settled abroad are trying to connect to me on their own. The secret is stand out in any network whether it is Linkedin or Stumbleupon or Digg. Stay long and consistently.

: @michaelfidler I think we are watching a big change. With CNN using Twitter, they are force feeding it to the masses. The masses are on Facebook, and were probably wondering what all that stuff on the feeds was. Be prepared, and be warned, tech people have strong opinions, but I am curious how the conversations change when everyone joins.
: I don't mean to seem arrogant but I will miss the early-adopter-bloggers who peopled the earlier Twitter posts. I am not looking forward to a homogenized Twitter stream.

A controversy is brewing over a popular Facebook application called PackRat, where users collect sets of illustrated cards for points and levels. : Understanding the technical difference between a "social utility" and a "social networking" site is far from rocket science. That said, aren't non-technical users - the vast majority of internet users - confused enough?
: No. I see facebook is a social networking and I can say it's an excellent social networking because, you can meet from there all of the power people from around the world. Some people teach everything for free and some others learn for free. So there are the good system but I don't know if the system is balanced! Only, I see behind facebook's application, there are a big corrupt because some applications don't get correctly "you see that to the different application's games"! I hate that because I want just to play different game not playing for being star with, lol!!! Sure, some people use and exploit the informations of the others and buy them. Some others add to exists applications your informations and tell that it's the application from facebook and sure they will sell with a new system the application in saying for example Mozart had some others articles never edited so many people interested on it! I go there especially for teaching everything as I can and learning too if I could AND rather to support some differents causes. So, about informations taking for others, no my problem! Except if anyone use my pictures, I'm FURIOUS!!!! I would want earning money with the correct way! Working-Money not Playing-Money!
